Flight Supervisor

Location: London Luton Airport (LU2 9UY)

Shift pattern: Monday to Thursday and Saturday Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £31,200.00 - £37,000.00

We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Flight Supervisor for an international carrier operating from London Luton Airport (LU2 9UY).

The role of the Flight Supervisor will act as the airline representative overseeing all aspects of the ground handling front-of-house, ramp, and dispatch operations.

This will be a hands-on role in which the Flight Supervisor will ensure that all aspects of an on-time departure and service levels are maintained by the turnaround team and that all passenger needs are handled appropriately.

The Flight Supervisor will be directly employed by the airline UK partner representative but will report all daily activities to the airline Station Manager.

This role will initially be based on a 30 - 40 hour-per-week roster covering 5 days out of 7. Additional hours will be made available during the summer schedule.
Applicants looking for 40+ hours have the option to work additional hours in our client Stansted Airport operation, performing customer service functions for a number of airline partners.

The main duties and responsibilities for this Fight Supervisor role:

• Full cooperation with the Operational Control Centre, verifying and countersigning all load sheets before presenting to the Captain, supplying the handling agent with all necessary instructions/ information to guarantee proper handling of the Airline’s flights, according to company procedures.

• Customer service: ensuring the highest standard of passenger service level is kept at all times, resolving complex issues promptly and professionally, reduced mobility passengers with exceptional sensitivity

• Ramp Activities: ensuring full acquaintance with loading procedures for all aircraft, including cargo (aircraft weight and balance licence an advantage), ensuring sufficient staff availability and performance standards of interior aircraft cleaners.

• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting the ground handling and airport services quality provided to the Airline.

• Managing and ensuring consistent internal target agreements & external service level agreements with our handling suppliers • Occasionally carrying out quality inspections.

• Guard and maintain safety standards as set by the Company.

• Liaising with Authorities & Airport Authorities on behalf of the Company.


Applicants must be prepared to work a mixture of early shifts between 05:00 to 11:00, Monday – Sunday with Saturday off during the winter season.

There are opportunities to work 40 hours per week at Stanstead Airport.

The essential requirements to be successful as a Flight Supervisor are:

• Minimum of 2 years' similar supervisory experience in ground handling and/or airline ground operation in the capacity of a Team Leader, Supervisor, Flight Dispatcher or Operations Supervisor.

• Knowledge of the Amadeus Altea reservation system.

• Leadership qualities

To be considered for this position, applicants must have experience in a similar role, such as Flight Dispatcher, Flight Supervisor, or Airside Supervisor.
