Forklift Driver Counterbalance

Job Details

We require full-time counterbalance Forklift Drivers for a ground handling company based within the cargo area of Heathrow Airport (TW6 3PF).

It is essential that you hold a valid counterbalance license with certification of your assessment.
Our client offer some of the best pay rates around Heathrow Airport.

Forklift drivers you will work 4 days on 2 days off shift pattern, and timings are given below:

00600 hrs – 2200 hrs (Day Shift) Or 2200 hrs – 0600 hrs (Permanent Night Shift).

As a Forklift Driver, you will receive:
• £16.12 per house - £31000 per annum
• Premium weekend payrate.
• Free uniform.
• Free Cargo Operative Training.
• Weekly or monthly pay.
• Free parking in ULEZ free zone.

Forklift Driver duties will include:
• Using a forklift to load and unload parcels, freight & cargo from vehicles.
• Build and break down aircraft pallets.
• Build cargo onto aircraft units to airline specifications.
• Working on a busy parcel sorting line moving parcels from aircraft containers.
• Scanning cargo and completion of airfreight documentation.

To be considered for this Forklift Driver position:
• A valid counterbalance FLT licence with certifications.
• Any experience as a Warehouse Operative, Parcel Sorter, Picker/Packer, Loader, or Warehouse Assistant would be highly desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
• Be prepared to work in a manual environment.
• Be prepared to work in all weather conditions.
• Be prepared to work shifts.

Successful applicants will be subject to:
• A 5-year checkable history for security vetting purposes.
• Criminal Record check (refundable).
• Good standard of numeracy and literacy and ability to pass DfT Cargo Operative Training.
