Our Visit to East Surrey College for National Careers Week

Posted around 5 months ago •

National Careers Week is always a standout moment in our calendar, and this year was no exception. Our team had an energising and highly productive week, culminating in a fantastic visit to East Surrey College, where we had the opportunity to deliver a guest lecture on careers in UK aviation.

As a Recruitment Agency specialising in the aviation sector, we see first-hand how important it is to showcase the breadth of opportunity available to young people. Our session with the students gave us the chance to do exactly that. highlighting the exciting pathways, early-career routes, and long-term prospects that the aviation industry has to offer.

During our guest lecture, we explored the diverse range of roles that help keep the aviation industry moving. Including operations, customer service, logistics, and cabin crew opportunities, students were particularly interested in:

  • Apprenticeship opportunities that provide hands-on training and nationally recognised qualifications

  • Entry-level roles that offer a direct route into the industry

  • Skillsets that employers value, including communication, adaptability, teamwork and problem-solving

  • Career progression and the varied routes available once inside the sector

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to East Surrey College and their fantastic Careers Team for welcoming us so warmly. It was a privilege to take part in their National Careers Week schedule and to spend time with such motivated students. Thank you also to every student who took the time to speak with us. Your enthusiasm for aviation and your commitment to exploring your career options made the visit truly memorable for our team.

We look forward to continuing our engagement with students, colleges, and training providers across the UK, helping to inspire the next generation and supporting them as they take their first steps into this dynamic and rewarding industry.
