Head Waiter

£14.10 per hour (£29,328 annual salary).

This position is a shift based working a fixed roster (05:00 am to 01:30 pm and 01:30 pm to 10:00 pm on a 4-day on and 2-day off shift pattern.
Our client at Heathrow Airport (TW6) is seeking a Head Waiter to provide luxury hospitality and guest services to VIP passengers who have booked private VIP Lounge access.
The main responsibility of the Head Waiter will be to act as the primary point of contact for guests during their stay and to coordinate with all departments to ensure the guest experience is delivered to the highest standards.

The Head Waiter's duties are:

  • Use in-house software to conduct check-in and check-out duties, manage lounge reservations and update requests.
  • To welcome all guests graciously and politely and escort them to their assigned lounges. 
  • Serve a selection of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and meals.
  • Take care of all requests and coordinate with each department to ensure every guest experience is perfectly delivered.
  • Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, product availability guest allergies and food preferences.
The skills and experience required for this Head Waiter role:
  • Experience working as a Head Waiter or Maître d’ in a fine dining restaurant, 4 – 5 star hotel or a corporate hospitality environment.
  • The ability to multitask and respond to multiple guest requests.
  • A high degree of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent grooming standards.
In return the successful Head Waiter will receive:
