General Sales Agent
Our client is looking for a General Sales Agent to join their well-established reservations and bookings centre based at East Midlands Airport. As a General Sales Agent you will provide cost effective freight solutions to new and existing customers.
The main duties of a General Sales Agent are:
Accepting and managing cargo reservations in line with carriers capacity and load ability and issuing booking confirmation (full training provided)
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and service partners in order to negotiate cost effective process for the services they offer.
Ensure that all records of suppliers, clients and Airlines are correctly recorded and updated on in house database.
Ensuring all freight quotations are provided to customers in a timely and accurate manner.
Contact new and existing clients in order to sell freight space as and when instructed by the commercial manager.
Answering a high volume of customer enquiries via telephone and email
Must possess first class written and verbal communication skills
Be enthusiastic and self-motivated
Have the confidence to communicate with customers, suppliers and colleagues effectively
Be extremely organised and confident individual who is motivate to meet targets deadlines
Due to the fast paced nature of this role, we require an individual who has the ability to multi-task, but maintain accuracy and attention to detail at all times
The ability to accurately perform data entry tasks with zero mistakes
Have an interest in the Aviation, Air Freight or Logistic industry
Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team
Career orientated with the desire to learn and excel
We are looking for someone who has experience of working within an account management role where they have been responsible for managing multiple clients at the same time.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from reservations sales agents, business to business (B2B) account managers, Inbound sales advisors, outbound sales advisors, sales representatives, general sales agents, sales, sales administrators, B2B sales advisor or have experience working in a telesales or Business to Business sales environment.
